UK court awards BOC US$90m against Kingfisher's Mallya

The UK High Court has awarded Singapore-based aircraft leasing firm BOC Aviation an estimated US$90 million in claims against Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya - the former ceo of the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines.
This latest case joins banks' and other firms' claims against Mallya and relates to the leasing of aircraft by Kingfisher Airlines dating back to 2014.

The ruling concerns a leasing agreement between Kingfisher Airlines and BOC and involves four planes, three of which were delivered.
"We are pleased with the judgement," BOC Aviation said.
