ATIC welcomes Icons package

The Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) has welcomed the Tourism Icons Package confirmed in the 2019 Federal Budget.
The package will provide government funding of A$50 million over three years for investment in new iconic attractions.
“New attractions are critical to winning new and repeat visitors to Australia,” said Evan Hall, chair of ATIC.
"Visitors are looking for new iconic tourism experiences in addition to the classic harbour, rock and reef attractions."
The Tourism Icons Package will focus on a small number of flagship attractions in regional Australia.
