Airnorth invests in pilot training as shortages impact schedules

Australian regional airline Airnorth has had some flight schedules disrupted by a shortage of pilots.
The airline operates mainly in the north west of Australia and the Northern Territory, carrying around 300,000 passengers a year.

The airline now has invested in additional  training to bring in new pilots to meet a current shortfall of  around 11 pilots.

Foreign pilots will soon be allowed to access Australian working visas to alleviate a general pilot shortage.
