United adds Melbourne-San Francisco non-stop route

USA-based United Airlines has begun Melbourne, Australia to San Francisco, USA non-stop year-round services.
The carrier will fly three times per week using B787-9 aircraft.
The new route means Australians can connect to more than 70 one-stop destinations in the US via United’s San Francisco hub, including New Orleans, Miami, Nashville and Portland.
This is United’s fifth non-stop flight between Australia and the US and United’s second direct route from Melbourne to the US after Los Angeles.
