Emirates airline has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 50 A350-900s - the aircraft manufacturer’s newest wide-body aircraft.
The A350 XWB offers operational flexibility and efficiency for all market segments - up to ultra-long haul (17,900km).
Airbus claims its cabin is the quietest of any twin-aisle aircraft. The aircraft features a carbon fibre fuselage and wings, plus new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.
Together, these technologies result in 25 per cent lower operating costs, as well as 25 per cent reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions compared with previous-generation competitor jets.
