QantasLink flight 'skids into safety zone' 

 A QantasLink flight from Perth to Australia's Pilbara region reportedly has skidded into a runway safety zone after  heavy rain in the area.
Flight QF2650 landed at Newman Airport at 7.15am Thursday 09 January in poor weather, skidding past the normal runway zone and into an 'end safety area'.
 
All 80 passengers and crew on the Fokker 100 aircraft exited the plane normally  and no injuries were reported.
 
Qantas is investigating the cause of the incident.
