Thailand to be a dementia care specialist?

Researchers visiting private care homes in Chiang Mai, Thailand, have found eight with residents from the UK, a Guardian reports says. 


“Thailand has a history of medical tourism and it’s now setting itself up as an international hub for dementia care,” said doctor Caleb Johnston, a lecturer in human geography at the UK's Newcastle University. 

There are an estimated 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK.
