Researchers visiting private care homes in Chiang Mai, Thailand, have found eight with residents from the UK, a Guardian reports says.
“Thailand has a history of medical tourism and it’s now setting itself up as an international hub for dementia care,” said doctor Caleb Johnston, a lecturer in human geography at the UK's Newcastle University.
There are an estimated 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK.
