China virus under-reported?

As health authorities say the new coronavirus outbreak in Asia may already have infected 1700 people - many more than the 45 or so reported - US health officials are to start passenger screening at three US airports.
The virus has been connected to a seafood market in Wuhan, a city of 11 million in China, apparently spreading from animals to people and causing pneumonia-like symptoms.
Cases also have been reported in Thailand and Japan.
