Australian airlines say no to Nepal

Australia's Qantas and Virgin Australia say they have no plans to fly to Nepal despite a new air services agreement that allows up to seven services a week to Kathmandu and another 28 a week to other airports in the country.

The latest Australian Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) domestic aviation activity report shows63.52 million passengers flew within Australia (including by charter) in the year ending June 2019, an increase of 0.5 per cent compared with the year ending June 2018.
