Maree Tetlow, chief executive for Tourism NT, has confirmed her resignation from the organisation, effective 26 November. Tetlow will be returning home to Tasmania with her family.

Melbourne, Australia has won its bid to host the International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) in 2014. The conference is expected to attract 1,000 delegates, injecting more than A$4 million into the Victoria economy.

Hong Kong has bounced back after the 2008 global economic downturn and is showing encouraging growth signs in its number of exhibitions, exhibiting companies and visitors, according to a new survey by the The Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association (HKECIA).

Tourism WA has been told by the organiser of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship that the 2011 series has been cancelled worldwide. Kate Lamont, Tourism WA chair, says her staff will aggressively pursue new, international events to replace the Perth event.
