Germany plans to ease regulations limiting night flights at the country’s airports following lobbying by Lufthansa Cargo to ease proposed night-flight restrictions at Frankfurt.
Lufthansa had warned it might cease freighter operations if courts outlawed night flights at its Frankfurt airport hub, while other airlines said night flight limits would force German freight forwarders and shippers to transfer traffic to nearby rivals Paris Charles de Gaulle in France and Amsterdam Schiphol, Netherlands.
