Google pulls free wi-fi plug

Google has ended its free US airport wi-fi program and is to cancel nearly all 54 wireless networks it sponsored as well as an in-flight internet partnership with Virgin America. The program raised money for charities during its run. Google estimates that users of the Wi-Fi networks donated some US$250,000, which the company will match.
