Irish budget airline Ryanair's ceo Michael O'Leary says it is "inevitable" that the Irish government will ask him to rescue struggling Aer Lingus.
O'Leary said: "We are the only people who are willing to rescue it. Nobody else wants it. Aer Lingus has no long-term strategy."
Meanwhile, Ryanair has announced a new route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, UK twice weekly to Oslo Rygge airport from 05 November 2010.
It will be the airline's second service to Norway from Liverpool, complementing a four times per week Oslo Torp service.
