UAL sitting on US$5.17 billion |

The parent of US carrier United Airlines, UAL Corp, says it earned US$273 million in Q2, its best result in almost three years - and quarterly revenue rose 28.4 per cent to US$5.16 billion.
Per-seat revenue rose 26.9 per cent and cargo revenue increased 57 per cent.
UAL finished the quarter with US$5.17 billion in cash.
