Singapore's Singapore Airlines posted a better-than-expected S$253 million profit in the three months to end June.

It made a loss of S$307 million in the same period a year ago.

Total group revenue grew 20.7 per cent to S$3.47 billion while expenditure increased by 0.8 per cent to S$3.19 billion. It carried 4 million passengers, up 5.5 per cent and load factor was 78.4 per cent.
