Airly to deliver all-member Australian airline

'All you can eat' air travel is due to launch in Australia this March, via members-only carrier Airly, which copies the model developed by Californian start-up Surf Air, which itself has more than 1,000 members.

The unlimited Australian flights cost from A$2550 per month after a A$1000 joining fee and use eight-seat Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft.

Airly initially will fly between Essendon in Melbourne, Bankstown in Sydney and Canberra, with Archerfield in Brisbane, Moorabbin in Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and the Gold Coast to come.

The company says that by bypassing major city airports, Airly will save passengers time.

At first, there will be 54 flights a week on offer.

“Investors also are interested, and we’re working hard to ensure we are innovative and positively disruptive in this industry," said co-founder Alexander Robinson.

Three membership tiers are planned:

1. Airly Starter: A$2550 per month for two reservation passes also covering a second person for A$1500 return.

2. Airly Business: A$3150 per month with four reservation passes, second person A$1000 return.

3. Airly Enterprise: A$3750 per month with six reservation passes and a second person free.

•  Reservations can be made four weeks in advance and up to 30 minutes before departure and there are no cancellation charges.
