ASL rebrands its four airlines

Irish aviation group ASL Aviation Group is to rebrand its four existing airlines as ASL Airlines, covering passenger and cargo operations and using about 75 aircraft.
Air Contractors will become ASL Airlines Ireland, Europe Airpost will become ASL Airlines France, Farnair Switzerland and Farnair Hungary will become ASL Airlines Switzerland and Hungary respectively.

ASL Group ceo Hugh Flynn said: “Our intent is to have a new, strong, single brand that will play a major role in helping us to achieve our vision and mission and reflect our corporate values in our business.”

The Group, which employs 1,500 globally, will continue to be based in Dublin and intends later to increase the number of aircraft in its combined cargo and passenger fleets.

As well as in Europe, ASL will also expand globally. It has an interest in Safair in South Africa as well cargo airlines K-Mile in Thailand and QuikJet in India, where ASL said its shareholding is to increase to 72.59 per cent.
