Airbus’ Paris sales mount

During the 2015 Paris Air Show, European aircraft manufacturer Airbus already has reported sales worth US$57 billion for 421 aircraft. The totals comprise firm orders for 124 aircraft worth US$16.3 billion and commitments for 297 aircraft worth US$40.7 billion.

In the wide-body market, Airbus now has its first operator for the new A330 Regional, with Saudi Arabian Airlines taking 20 on lease from IAFC, a leading lessor in the Middle East.

It also attracted orders and commitments for 31 A350-900s and four A330-300s.

In the single-aisle sector, the A320 drew 103 firm orders and 263 commitments worth US$41.4 billion. Of these, 323 are neos, taking total orders and commitments for the A320neo to more than4,000 since its launch in December 2010.
