Mathews to head Canberra Convention Bureau

Michael-MatthewsMichael Matthews (left) has been appointed chief executive of Australia’s Canberra Convention Bureau.

Mathews, currently the executive director of Meetings and Conventions PEI for the province of Prince Edward Island in Canada, will take up his new role 01 October 2015.

Originally from Australia, he has spent the past 14 years in roles encompassing sales, operations and destination marketing in the Canadian market. He also holds an MBA in Tourism from the University of Guelph.
