Reports quoting AirAsia Malaysia ceo Aireen Omar have said the new budget terminal is sinking, with cracks allegedly appearing in the taxiway - and water forming in pools.
"The response from MAB that this is to be expected is ridiculous. The board and management need a strong hard look at themselves," said AirAsia ceo Tony Fernandes.
Last year, the country's Transport Ministry called for an independent audit committee to investigate 'ponding' (water collecting on the klia2's apron).
MAB says it already has started to remedy problems, including routine patching works, resurfacing works and laying a concrete slab at the affected parking apron and taxiways.
