Flight Centre beats ACCC

Australia's Flight Centre has won a court victory against the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), which had accused the company of price fixing.

The Federal Court overturned an earlier ruling that Flight Centre had breached the Trade Practices Act by putting pressure on selected airlines to ensure price parity.

As well as receiving full repayment of the A$11 million fine, plus interest, Flight Centre will also be reimbursed for its legal costs for the initial case and for the appeal.
