Irish budget carrier Ryanair is to ditch its GBP80 fee for heavier luggage and adopt six bands for bags.
Currently, passengers pay (up to) GBP80 to check a 20kg bag during peak season, but from this June, there will be a GBP30 flat rate for all 20kg bags, regardless of when passengers booked the luggage space or when their holiday is.
Fees for second, third and fourth bags also will be axed, though there will be fees introduced for longer journeys.
