Delta to introduce RFID

USA-based Delta Air Lines is deploying new radio frequency identification (RFID) baggage tracking technology throughout its network.
Claiming to be the first in the US to roll out the system, Delta said that tests of the system have yielded a 99.9 per cent success rate for bags arriving at their destination at the same time as their owners.
A Delta app for smartphones will be available toward the end of this year.
