Westin opens in Jakarta

Westin Hotels and Resorts has opened The Westin Jakarta, the first hotel with that brand in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The highest hotel in Indonesia, it occupies floors 50 to 69 of the mixed-used Gama Tower, offering 272 guest rooms and suites with uninterrupted views of the city.


Situated  in Kuningan central business district, 45 minutes by car from the International Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the hotel is close to nearby shopping malls as well as the Jakarta National Monument.


Arun Kumar, its general manager said: "To amplify the guest experience, four dining venues serve a variety of culinary options. Seasonal Tastes, an all-day dining restaurant, presents buffet and a la carte options featuring local and international cuisine with seven live cooking stations. The Henshin restaurant on the top three floors of the building features Nikkei Cuisine with Japanese-Peruvian flavours.


The Westin Jakarta also features a banquet area on the top levels of the hotel with a 200 guest capacity and 360 degree views of  the city. For events and weddings, the hotel offers 3,000 square metres of function rooms including the Java Ballroom on the ground floor with a maximum capacity of 1,500 guests.


The property  features a spa as well as a fitness studio with state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
