Strong NZ presence at PCOA meet

New Zealand will again be strongly represented at the 9th Annual Australian PCO Conference and Exhibition in Brisbane this November, with new exhibitors, speakers and hospitality.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) and Tourism New Zealand will be joined by 15 exhibitors on the New Zealand stand.

CINZ Australia manager Sharon Auld says New Zealand’s diverse regions will all be represented.

“Our unique offerings keep growing every year. New Zealand is so easy to get around, and there are so many options packed into every region. We are delighted to be bringing partners from around the country to share their knowledge and passion with PCOA delegates,” she said.

“Manaakitanga - warm hospitality - is a special part of our New Zealand story. This year we are staging an exclusive hosted dinner on Sunday 27 November, and all delegates looking to send an event to New Zealand are invited.”

The team will be dishing out tastings of specially imported New Zealand wines and cheeses on the stand.

Auld said some special venues will be on show this year, including Hobbiton Movie Set and, for the first time, Auckland Museum - Tamaki Paenga Hira, and Pacific Jemm luxury super yacht in Queenstown. Other first time exhibitors are New Zealand International Convention Centre and Hamilton & Waikato Convention Bureau.

In the speaker lineup, Tourism New Zealand is sponsoring international management expert Bruce Cotterill, who will present his ground-breaking Seven Principles of Profit concept.

A New Zealand International Convention Centre case study focusing on collaboration will be a feature of the conference program on day two.

CINZ is also promoting Meetings 2017 at the conference.  Delegates have the chance to apply to be a hosted buyer, and participate in familiarisation to a New Zealand region of their choice.

Exhibitors on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand for 2016 are: Air New Zealand, Auckland Convention Bureau, Auckland Museum - Tamaki Paenga Hira, Christchurch & Canterbury Convention Bureau, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand, Destination Rotorua, Business Events Dunedin, Convention Bureau Hamilton and Waikato Convention Bureau, Heritage Hotels, Hobbit Movie Set, The Langham Auckland, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Nelson Convention Bureau, New Zealand International Convention Centre, Pacific Jemm Queenstown, Queenstown Convention Bureau, Tourism New Zealand.
