Several US carriers are offering partial refunds for travellers with existing itineraries to or out of areas affected by Hurricane Matthew.

The Category 4 storm has already forced hundreds of residents in Haiti and Jamaica into temporary shelters and some cruise lines have changed their itineraries to avoid affected areas.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport alone reported 79 delays and 38 cancellations on Wednesday due to the storm.
