KLM to use face scanners at Schiphol

Netherlands-based KLM is to trial face-scanning technology at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport to speed up the boarding process and improve security.

The three-month test period requires passengers to register in advance and then scan boarding passes, passports and their faces at a special kiosk.

Airports and airlines in Japan and the USA already have automated recognition systems in use.
