TSA puts more pats in pat-downs

The USA's Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has responded to a Department of Homeland Security study that claimed some of its agents failed to find hidden weapons during basic pat-downs, by introducing a 'more rigorous' regime.

Prior to the initiative, agents had five options for patting down travellers, but this has been replaced by a single procedure that takes longer.
