PRIM set to expand into USA

Powder Room Interactive Media (PRIM) is using Australian airports to roll out digital touchscreen portals that handle sales while gathering consumer data.
PRIM says it has signed FMCG brands such as Colgate-Palmolive, Blackmores, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and Nivea for the service, a network of 300 retail portals and digital displays at Australian airports across the country that currently reach 280,000 people each day.

The portals have 32-inch interactive touchscreens with app-style software that run TVCs with audio, can display point-of-sale and product content and allow simple ‘tap and go’ credit card or cash transactions.

The compay says it has now been approached by airports in the United States, Europe and South Africa and is expanding its Australian presence to shopping centres.
