Spain pledges increased security

Spain will increase security at tourist sites across the country following the recent terror attacks there.
Interior minister Juan Ignacio Zoido said: "We are going to redirect our efforts and will adapt these to every place or area that needs special protection."

There also will be increased security at the Spain/France border - and Italy is erecting barriers at popular landmarks including in central Milan, Palermo and Rome.

Meanwhile, police say they have shot dead a man suspected of driving a van in Barcelona, where 13 people died after it hit a crowd on Las Ramblas on Thursday.

In a second attack, six hours later in Cambrils, a woman was killed.
