Women in AI Awards 2023 now open for entries

Entries have now opened for the Women in AI (WAI) Awards 2023 Asia Pacific.

This year the awards have been expanded across Asia-Pacific, with 18 categories of entry and open to all women in the AI field based in Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific.

Designed to foster inclusivity and further opportunities for women in STEM and AI, the awards include a prize pool of A$50,000 including for Innovator of the Year, the Trailblazer Award and for the first time, the Indigenous Leadership in AI Award.

“I fully encourage women to apply for the WAI Awards 2023. The awards have provided the opportunity to meet so many amazing women, creating such impact with AI and the recognition has opened many new doors," said 2022 WAI Innovator of the Year doctor Helen Frazer.

Facilitator, creator and producer of WAI Awards Andra Müller says the awards are open to all women working, leading, researching, creating or innovating in Artificial Intelligence -  in industry, government, universities, research institutes, startups and NGOs.

The awards will be presented on 16 June 2023 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and will be hosted by presenter Julia Zemiro.
