Air Berlin in TUIfly talks
Thursday, March 05, 2009
European reports say Germany’s Air Berlin may take over parts or all of rival leisure carrier TUIfly.

Industry sources say Air Berlin wants TUIfly's scheduled flights – services inherited from former low-fare carrier HLX, which became part of TUIfly following the merger with Hapagfly.

However, TUI is understood to need control of its flights to leisure destinations to back up its tour business.
