Air India cancels flights over fuel dispute

India's Air India (AI) was forced to cancel 10 flights late last week after oil companies refused to refuel its aircraft unless they were paid 'cash on delivery'.

The airline was forced to write post-dated cheques for the oil companies, which now are receiving daily fuel payments.

The fuel companies also have put similar restraints on Air India rival Kingfisher.
