New airport terminal to open in January

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has made an offer to four airlines to move their operations to Singapore Changi Airport's new Terminal 3. The four airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Jet Airways, Qatar Airways and United Airlines, will join Singapore Airlines in operating from Terminal 3. Terminal 3, currently undergoing tests and trials, opens for flight operations on 09 January 2008.
 
MacAir to pitch for regional routes

Regional carrier MacAir Airlines announced today its intention to tender for a major Queensland Government contract to provide scheduled air transport services to 19 regional centres for a 10 year period, effective from March 2008.
MacAir, based in Townsville, has operated these services since 2001, after the previous operator collapsed, leaving many communities without flights or with diminished service.

Darwin flights to end

Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) announced today that it will suspend its twice-weekly services out of Darwin with effect from 26 January 2008. Prior to this, the airline will revise and suspend selected flights from Darwin with immediate effect.

Hilton to manage Guiyang hotel

Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed an agreement with Guizhou Honizon Real Estate Development to manage the Hilton Guiyang. The property will be developed in two phases – the first phase will be completed at the end of 2008, and will comprise 100 guest rooms and 70 serviced apartments. The second phase will include another 230 guest rooms by the end of 2009.
