Changi sees freight, passenger rebound in December

Following a challenging first half in 2009, Singapore Changi Airport registered a strong rebound in the last quarter of the year, with a monthly record of 3.83 million passenger movements in December, two new cargo carriers using the airport and a 15.7 per cent increase in airfreight handled.

Emirates takes delivery of 6,000th Airbus

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has handed over its 6,000th aircraft, an A380, to Emirates AirlineĀ at a ceremony in Hamburg. Airbus ceo Tom Enders said: "This delivery is our 25th A380 so far."
