IAG Cargo adds to sustainability moves

IAG Cargo is trialling new film to be used for wrapping transported goods as part of its sustainability strategy.
The carrier is working with disposal company and film manufacturer Verpa Folie, which has developed an innovative solution of reduced-thickness polyethylene films with US based BioNatur Plastics.
With this new sustainable material that is 15 micron thickness, 100 per cent recyclable and biodegradable by landfill, the airline claims it will save up to 15 tonnes of virgin polyethylene a year.

Medius Elev features built in forward and aft lifts on the main deck floor, allowing for the loading of palletised and containerised cargo without the need for a cargo door, and will ultimately optimise turn-around-time efficiency by significantly reducing loading and unloading times.
