US dock workers suspend strike

The union representing 45,000 striking dockworkers at 36 east and Gulf coast US ports has suspended its strike until January 15 2025, thanks to what has been described as a 'big dollar amount' offered by the US Maritime Alliance, which represents ports and shipping companies.
