Australian fly in/fly out (FIFO) and cargo air charter operator Aerlink has taken delivery of two ATR 72-212 Large Cargo Door (ATR 72 LCD) freighters from ACIA Aero Leasing (ACIA).
The first arrived in January 2024 and the second this month.
Both will be operated for flag carrier Qantas as part of its Australia Post contract. The planes bring the total number of ATR aircraft leased from ACIA to Aerlink to four.
New Zealand-based logistics firm Mainfreight saw a 33 per cent profit drop (before tax) to NZ$395.4 million for FY24 as freight volumes and international sea and air freight rates fell.
