UPS has announced plans to cut its carbon footprint including a 12 per cent reduction of its absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from global ground operations by 2025.
The firm will transition from fossil fuels to electric power and hopes 25 per cent of the electricity it consumes will come from renewable energy sources.

As well, it will increase the number of its vehicles and facilities powered by sustainable energy sources, including on-site solar, off-site wind and renewable natural gas, hydrogen and biodiesel.

The 'green' pledge also addresses aircraft fleet, aircraft weight and aviation procedures.
