Cyclone Hato hammers flight schedules

Flights to and from Hong Kong and Macau were returning to normal Thursday after cyclone Hato caused hundreds of passenger and freighter flight cancellations and delays. 
Speeds of up to 165 kilometres per hour (103 mph) were reported in Macau, with three people dead and several people reported missing.
 
In Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific axed the majority of its flights between on Wednesday ahead of Hato's arrival. It passed within 30 kilometres of the island, bringing high winds and hazardous seas. In all, about 420 flights were cancelled and others delayed.
