GAC says new Perth consolidation warehouse will meet logistics demand

GAC Australia has opened a new consolidation warehouse in Perth as it moves into the logistics business in parallel to the shipping services that have been in place at the country’s ports since 2007.The new warehouse is needed for storage space and distribution services for a major client with operations in Western Australia. Located in the new Swan Brewery Estate at Canning Vale, about 20km from Perth International Airport and Fremantle Port, it enjoys good access to key transportation links.
The 800 square metre facility features a 5m by 5m warehouse door and an 8.5m truss height that allows trailing equipment to reverse into the facility for loading and unloading. Arriving goods are consolidated and packed into pallets before being distributed to domestic and international locations.
Scott Henderson, managing director GAC Australia, sees rising demand for warehousing and logistics services in the country as a result of its buoyant energy market.
