Sheremetyevo reports strong growth

Moscow, Russia's Sheremetyevo airport says it handled more than 260,000 tonnes of cargo in the first 11 months of 2017, a 30 per cent increase on the same period last year.
The volume of international freight handled by the Moscow Cargo terminal in 2017 (up to November) increased by 60.8 per cent over 2016.
 
Overall, exports rose 80 per cent and imports by 44 per cent in the same period. 
 
Meanwhile, domestic cargo recorded a 2.95 per cent decline.
 
“The most impressive growth of inbound and transit freight traffic was seen on the routes from Delhi, Oslo, Hanoi and Brussels,” said a spokesperson.
