Aust opposition pledges A$93.1m for cargo screening

Leader of the opposition Tony Abbott says the (formerly Rudd) government screening program cuts would be reversed plus an additional A$35 million added, for a total of A$93.1 million.
Abbott said the move would strengthen Australia's border and border security.
Overall, the moves would enable customs to inspect an additional 52,500 sea cargo assignments and at least 7.5 million additio
nal air cargo consignments, Abbott said.
