A-P freight, passengers up sharply

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) said regional airlines carried 15.1 million international passengers in June, a 25.2 per cent increase over June 2009.
The region's carriers also reported 30.4 per cent growth in freight tonne kilometres (FTK) year-on-year.
AAPA also said that for the first half of 2010, Asia-Pacific carriers carried 89 million international passengers, 14.9 per cent higher than January-June a year ago and aiir cargo was up 34.8 per cent over the six months.
