Air traffic controllers at Ben-Gurion Airport reportedly prevented an airplane crash on the runway after a Turkish Corendon Airlines' plane attempted to take off as a plane from Romania's flag carrier airline Tarom approached the same runway.

The Romanian airplane was about 3 kilometres from the landing point - about one and a half minutes from landing.
