Virgin Australia is adding 'hundreds' of staff across a range of disciplines as it introduces another seven Boeing 737-800s to its fleet this year, taking the fleet to seven dozen jets.

Roles include cabin crew, ground services workers, engineers, pilots and head office staff.

Cabin crew recruitment is already under way at the firm's Sydney crew training centre.
