Since China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the resumption of group tours to 78 countries including Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, on-line travel service providers have reported a huge growth in outbound travel inquiries and thousands of new travel products have been launched.
 
Leading global luxury brands and top tier airlines, including LVMH and Air France, have reported increases in their share values.
 
Prior to the Covid pandemic, Chinese tourists accounted for 155 million outbound trips in 2019, spending about US$255 billion.
