Scoot to add Chennai to network

Singapore Airlines' budget arm Scoot will fly direct daily between Singapore and Chennai in India from November 5 using an A320.


The daily service will provide convenient access to major cities via Singapore, it said.

Including Chennai, Scoot now operates to six destinations in India - Amritsar, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, Visakhapatnam and Chennai.

Scoot has a fleet of more than 50 aircraft, comprising widebody Boeing 787s and single-aisle Airbus A320 family aircraft and it plans to add the Embraer E190-E2 to its fleet by 2024.

It flies to 66 destinations across 15 countries and territories in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
