Spirit bought the Belfast manufacturing plant from Canadian plane maker Bombardier about four years ago. (Bombardier once produced what it called the 'C series' single-aisle jet before selling it to Airbus, which rebranded it the Airbus A220.)
For its part, Spirit says its focus "remains on providing our customers with the highest-quality product”.
