Work underway on WA's first Medihotel

Site work has begun on the first stage of Western Australia’s Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct (MHKP) which will include the state’s first Medihotel.

 

The 9.6-hectare site adjacent to Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth will be developed in two stages over 10 to 15 years to become a major hub delivering leading health and research facilities.
 
Plans for the first stage of the MHKP include 175 apartments, a 150-bed aged care facility, a 6,480 square metre super medical clinic, the Medihotel, short-stay accommodation, and 6,080sqm of commercial, retail and amenity space.
 
Completion of stage one civil works is anticipated in mid-2018, while the Medihotel facility is expected to open its doors in 2021.
